Cheeky summer cafe

If you have not been to Taiping, well let me tell you it's actually a small town in Perak, but it's developing quite well these few years.
One thing I notice, is the existence of more and more cafes in town.

Great for all Taiping people, no need to complain that there's not many choices to hang out already xD

One recent cafe I love is this, Cheeky Summer. Located in the city area.

(photo taken from its' FB
The interior is not very outstanding to be honest, but it's what they serve that matters most I guess ;)

It's said to be the first juice and smoothie bar in Taiping!
They serve 100% pure fruit juice with no sugar, water and preservatives added.

So yea, it's a healthy choice for everyone!
They offer several juice choices for different functions like boosting immune system, weight lost, healthy skin and many more!
One bottle like this cost about RM16, and if you bring back the bottle on your next purchase, you are entitle an RM1 discount ;)

And recently, they have this on their menu, fruit pizza! The crust is thin and packed with spinach and dragon fruits, something which I like!

Another choice on their menu is cereal bowl like this, this one is Red Velvet, you can see what are the topping, it has nuts and cereals so it's actually quite filling~~
A bowl cost about RM12- RM15.

This one, almost similar but the smoothie is made from avocado, equally yummy!

The person in charge is actually a young lady, kinda admire her effort and ideas of running a shop like this.

I have to say the price is not cheap in terms of Taiping market, cannot afford to eat too often, haha! But then, all the colors are so inviting!!
Feel like going there right now!! (Too bad it closes on Mondays >.<)

You may visit their FB for more details!

  1. Thanks for sharing Hayley, the fruit juice, smoothie, pizza and cereal all look so colourful and inviting.

  2. Sibu is a very very small town too. Hmmm...from the name, I was expecting something exciting! :D :D :D

  3. An unique fruit pizza. I would like that too.

  4. Thanks for sharing. Yes, the owner is a very enterprising person to open a café that sells healthy food like juices and etc. Are the dragon fruits pieces put on top of the pizza after the pizza has been baked? I don't think the dragon fruits pieces should be baked together with the pizza, right?

    1. Nope, it's placed after the pizza is baked, can see from the photo, hehe!

  5. Even Pg, also lots of new cafes.. esp along the heritage area.

  6. I like the name, so cute! The cereal bowl looks delicious :)

  7. I only been to Taiping once many years ago for a short trip and totally forgot how's the town looks like :P
I'm a bit skeptical on fruity pizza because I doubt the juice from the fruit will make the pizza base soggy and wet :P

    1. Ok la, cause just small amount of fruits only.

  8. The food and drinks are all very healthy. Good for weight watchers like me :)

  9. Thanks for all the comments! I did read every single comments ya! Just too busy to reply one by one hur hur

Hmm

BFF trip to Bangkok 2013: The food post

Bangkok is not only a heaven for the men shopping but also food! I've actually Google and blog hopping beforehand to see what's worth to eat at Bangkok, can only chose the most popular ones as we were there for only 4 days 3 nights, a very rush trip.
I've filtered out those food we ate during the trip which I think worth mentioning.
@ Food court, Platinum Mall Green curry chicken rice
Beef noodles
Fruit crepe
The food court is so big here in Platinum Mall, hundreds of tables are provided but almost all are occupied.

Dessert @ Swensen, Platinum Mall

(pale looking face, first day after touching down) Swensen is not in my itinerary, we decided to go here instead of Mr Jones Orphanage at Siam Center cause of the location. Siam Center is further away from where we stay, but Platinum Mall is just about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. End up, no regrets! Much cheaper and yummier compared to Malaysia.

T&K seafood, Chinatown  (It's easier to get here by metered cab)

By far…

Just a short note

Hello hello!
Was away for the past few days hence the silence here ;)
Went Bangkok with my bff and was so tired and exhausted! But enjoyed ourselves very much.. It's a pre birthday celebration trip for us as we are born in October...
Shall catch up with you guys soon!
p/s: SK and Wenn, I have received the gifts sent from you both, million thanks ya! ^^
